VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
Actuaries'
Club of Boston - Volunteers Needed!!!
The Actuaries' Club of Boston (ACB) is looking for
interested members to join their Program Committee. The Committee will
work with club officers to plan ACB meetings and networking events. This
is a great opportunity to share your ideas and network with other actuaries
in the area!
Are you too busy to volunteer? The time required to plan a meeting is
less than you might expect. Each meeting is planned by a group of ACB
members under the guidance of the club’s Vice-president. Tasks are divided
amongst the team and we estimate the time commitment for planning a meeting
is approximately 10 – 20 hours per member. Currently we host one meeting
a year and co-host a second meeting with the Hartford/Springfield Club.
Are you interested? For more information, please contact our ACB President,
David Durant at (617) 663-3064 or via email at ddurant@jhancock.com.
General Program Committee
Committee
members are responsible for all aspects of the clubs' meetings,
including planning the sessions, recruiting speakers, and handling all
meeting logistics. Being involved in this committee is a great way to
network with other actuaries and gain recognition in the local actuarial
arena.
Meeting Speakers
Do you
have insights or research into current hot topics that you are interested
in sharing with other actuaries? Speaking at local meetings will help
you gain recognition and credibility as an expert in your area.
